The peace agreement in Colombia can put an end to one of the world’s forgotten crises: bringing home an estimated 4 million people displaced by 50 years of armed conflict. Home to their land, as most “desplazados” are small farmers. And bringing back dignity to people that have fought very hard not to lose just that. “Being displaced does not wipe out my sense of self. I have been deprived of material things, but nobody can take away what I am as a person.”
